Future Imperfect is a modular expansion to Anachrony, introducing four new gameplay modules:
Neutronide Buildings: offers a set of 4 new buildings that become increasingly effective the more Power Plants you have.
Hypersync: players are able to receive the benefits of a Capital Action without placing an Exosuit, performing the Action on the Hypersync board in a later Era.
Quantum Loops: extends the possibilities of the Warp Phase - you may now receive more powerful bonuses and resources and pay them back with Breakthroughs.
Intrigues of the Council: by accomplishing missions, players may add new Agenda tiles to the new dynamic endgame scoring system that replaces the Endgame Condition cards to manipulate the outcome of the endgame scoring or reap other valuable benefits.
Playing the Doomsday module, players can truly take humanity’s fate into their own hands. By conducting various Experiments, they can actively influence the time of the Impact or even completely avoid it. However, it’s not beneficial for all Paths to save Earth; others see the cataclysm as a way to overcome their rival Paths and aim to force it to happen sooner.
Using the new Experiment Action, if the players meet the requirements and pay the cost of the Experiment cards, they can use them to advance on the Doomsday track according to their Path’s interests and eventually change the time of the Impact, as well as game end.
The Doomsday module is included in the Anachrony Classic Expansion Pack.
As the Paths developed new methods to improve their Exosuit models, even the most hazardous areas of the Outback became reachable, granting access to a vast amount of salvageable materials, forgotten relics of the Old World, and, of course, new dangers to face.
In Pioneers of New Earth, players can use their Exosuits to venture out and take on Adventures. Each Adventure card has a Power value, a Success result, and a Failure result. In order to succeed on an Adventure, the player’s current Exosuit Power level, which is determined by how many Resources were used to upgrade the Exosuit models, has to match or exceed the card’s Power value.
The Pioneers of New Earth module is included in the Anachrony Classic Expansion Pack.
When the Time Rifts opened up once again, an army of gigantic, self-propelled Exosuits slowly marched through it. The Guardians, as it turned out, were the parting gift of a dying World Council from an alternate future, where the impact resulted in a fatal catastrophe. They left behind their doomed world to help us save ours.
With the Guardians of the Council module, players gain access to a new, Path-independent Exosuit type, the Guardian. When you take a World Council Action, you may permanently enlist one of them. The Guardians operate without Workers and even have their own designated Action spaces, where they can take a Capital Action without being contested.
The Guardians of the Council module is included in the Anachrony Classic Expansion Pack.
